Possibly the one most important aspect of business is selling and generating revenue but to get that done businesses need to attract potential customers, get them to make purchase and ultimately build relationships with them and keep them interested as they repeat purchase which is what is needed by the business to grow sales.. In a nutshell, that’s all that customer relationship building is all about. Getting the most out of relationships businesses establish with their customers.

The term CRM in the past years had become synonymous with piles of work and admin and clutter which honestly, no one wanted to associate themselves with but it’s a necessary process to be conducted by businesses. Management of customer relationships has been the sole reason for businesses succeeding and growing their income by a reasonable margin. At its simplest, a CRM system allows businesses to manage business relationships and the data and information associated with them. An effective customer relationship management system allows you to store customer and prospect contact information, accounts, leads and sales opportunities in one central location, ideally in the cloud so the information is accessible by many, in real time. Thank goodness for technology all this is now possible in more fun and simple ways. Consumer interaction with businesses show intent to make purchase and continue making business with them, traditional CRM systems don’t elicit much excitement the development and rapid growth of social networks like Facebook and twitter are built around people and relationships hence their increase importance and value for fast growing businesses and of course sales.

Various ways are used by businesses to strengthen and build relationships and connect with customers, some use old fashioned note cards and loyalty points. Others store information on their mobile phone while on the go and computer systems. Others use Excel spreadsheets or Google documents.

But in recent years gamification has become a growing phenomenon in CRM systems with the introduction of AppRedeem. An exciting new ways consumers can try out new apps and get rewards and coupons for using them. The whole idea is for customers to try out new apps and receive gift cards, coupons and codes for using them. The more point’s consumers collect from trying out new apps the more gift codes they can receive from their favourite stores and brands. This works great for CRM in America as it involves various businesses and exposes them to new markets while creating a drive with consumers for them to make a purchase.

That is really what Customer relationship Management should be for businesses, not just sales driven even though that is the fundamental result. Consistency, innovation and continues productivity will most likely guarantee growth on the businesses return on investments. A beneficial relationship for both the business and the customer, driven by a need to make lasting and real relationships with consumers, customer must feel like they are getting something in return, while they ultimately make the purchase from the business… over and over again.
